Today I saw some leaves whirling.. it doesn't take long or autumn is a fact. Those leaves were my inspiration from today. We make a 3D sheet that, due to the color and through the pierced holes, create an atmospheric effect.
1. Window Decoration -You can hang it on a window (e.g. with kneading buddies)
2. Ambient lighting - use to paste on the inside of a wind light
3. Garland - create multiple leaves and cover them with mini LED lights as a pendulum
4. Lampion- make a double leaf and equipped with a lantern light
The idea is to create a kind of 3D sheet. By using a build-up of convex lines, you create depth. It is a fun drawing assignment to focus on a distribution of lines. By working with color, it also gets extra depth in 3D. A nice assignment to go on!
For the translucent effect, pierce holes with a pen and mat. Try to pierce a pattern with some lines. Also, do not forget to prick the outer edge!
When the leaf is ready, cut it out... and ready is your 3D autumn leaf!
Make sure youfirm white paper have to work. This also because of the piercing of the leaf afterwards.
I used Krimpie permanent markers here. These have a fine point with which you can easily draw the lines.
Here you have the template of a sheet. You must first save it in a folder of your computer.
Then you can print it out.
