Hello there! Today I was just casually surfing through the internet when I found this fantastic post about this weird creature. Amabie: The Japanese Monster. Or in Japanese words, a Yokai. Indeed, humans haven't still figured out about so many creatures in oceans, this might be one of them. According to Japanese belief, this three-legged mermaid with a beak and body covered with scales appears on the surface of the water to help the people out of the epidemic. It is believed that the Amabie resurfaced on the water at the end of the March just like it had emerged before in hard times.
It is said that Yokai often plays an important role in saving people from unpleasant times. They can be sometimes a valve of relief when the situation gets tense.
