In a quarry, a number of men are working hard.
The sweat gushes all over their bodies, standing in the scorching sun.
They are making chunks of stone: starting with a long stick making holes in the rock.

Then they split the boulders with a little stuff that they put in those holes.
Then they hit with a number of steel “chisels” more manageable pieces, which they eventually turn into beautifully straight blocks.
All blocks are the same size, the same width, the same length.
Pure handicrafts, without a ruler. (their hand is their ruler they told, had a spread, the distance between thumb and forefinger, which is the good width.

Particularly impressive to see.
Obviously, I asked for permission to take a picture.
That was allowed, but then the gentlemen wanted to put on their shirt first.
Secretly, I found that a little pity...
