That's what my father used to say, “She had her gin rearing up voeier”. (curious how this is translated...)

So it means that the children were not raised properly. Well, easy judgments based on a snapshot. Yet I catch myself that I often form an opinion when I see parents dealing with their offspring. Anyway, it makes me think, but I also realize very well as a childless parent that I am not in a position to judge. And yet I'll do it.

Once in the summer there were children playing in someone near me's garden. A woman came out and went raging at the children because they would destroy her garden with their bikes. Then she takes away a bike. “Now go home and tell me that I have your bike and you can't get it back”. Well, I don't know how it ended, but I thought it was really hard. Or the right way?...

In the family I see some. “If you stop... /listen/be good, you'll get an ice cream. Okay, so that's what I call despair, powerlessness, frustration, bribery and blackmail.. But I can imagine it. Only it doesn't work. The children wouldn't listen anyway, and then they were told they didn't get ice cream. Then it was crying again. Just as long as the ice cream got there anyway. Mission passed so, for the children then. I always find ridiculous terms “time-out “or the “thought mat, “I've heard it all.

What I thought was really great is that a mother in the supermarket asked her three kids what they wanted to eat tonight. “Good move mom”, I thought to myself. They probably don't give an unambiguous answer. And so it happened, the rest you can imagine.
Well 'consult' is now the hype. On the question “Why” now you need to explain. Of course, there's something to say. As children, we got the answer: “That's why!” or, “Because I say so!” For us, that was more or less sufficient.

But that's what I'm saying, “What do I know?.
