If #Kerstversiering I made something nice this year (even if I say it myself). Something for the front yard to make it up there with not just lights. A #Kerst #Tuinwijzer ! I'll explain to you how I made it and what you need for it. Also, I don't give you any nice tips to put on your hand.

What do you need?
  • Wood (to make boards and hands made by yourself or purchased online at various stores);
  • Wooden pole or a rope for the hands to attach to it;
  • Tubes of paint or paintmarkers;
  • Pencil and brushes;
  • Nails, screws or cramps;
  • Hammer;
  • Varnish.
How are you gonna make it?
First of all, you're gonna paint the wood. I chose different colors (white, red and green) and let it dry. Sometimes you need a second coat of paint on it. Then you start thinking about what you want on your boards. For this I have some nice tips for you all in Christmas spirit:
North Pole - Winter Wonder Land - HoHoHoHo - Whoville - Frosty's Wonderland - Santa's Workshop - Santa's House - Claus Café - Ms Claus Bakery - Ms Claus Kitchen - Santa's Sleigh - Elf Village - Elf Workshop - Elf Academy - Candy Cane Lane - Jingle Street - Mistletoe Forest - Gingerbread Hills - Reindeer Crossing - Reindeer Barn - Reindeer Stables - Rudolphs Ski Lodge - Reindeer Way - Sleigh Parking - Sleigh Repair Shop - Sleigh Rides - Gingerbread Bakery - Jingle Bell Café - Coco Tavern - Polar Express
You put this paint on the boards. I choose paintmarkers (such as Posca 's for sale at Bol.com ) to get this right on. I find this easier with markers than with paint. And I also made nice drawings on the boards with paintmarkers. Then let dry again.
When it's all dried, you can treat the boards with varnish. I did this because they're out in the yard with us. This way they are protected from wind and weather. In short, they stay beautiful for much longer. Varnish you can buy in many different stores. If you take the transparent variant, then your painted colors will remain beautiful.
When the varnish is dried, you can put the hand together. If you want to hang the hands, you can use rope. With cramps you then attach the boards to the rope, by putting a stall around the rope and fixing it in the boards with a hammer. I made the boards on a wooden pole with screws (you can also use nail, but screws are a bit more solid).

And now your Christmas garden hand is ready! Ours is already showing off in the front yard with some lights around it.

Very good luck! ፦)
