Camping in Carinthia in summer? That can include. on campsite Alpenfreude. Most camping guests come from the Netherlands. Furthermore, there will be a.o.. also Italians, Danes, French and Germans.
New owners since 2020A very nice and passionate German couple bought the campsite in 2020. I wish them very much success and many years of fun there!
The campsite is located at 750 m. altitude, near the mountain Dobratsch, in Carinthia.
The nearest known place is Villach, which you can get from there in 20 min. can be reached by car.
Also, it is not far from the trielandenpunt in Arnoldstein. There are Italy, Slovenia and Austria together.
There are plenty of leaflets available at the reception about sights and activities in Carinthia.
For example, about Minimundus. Any announcements are pricked on a wooden wall near the terrace.
Sandwiches can be daily up to 16 h. ordering via an order list. The next day you can pick them up at the reception. There is also a rack with a few products. (The store is no longer there.)
From 18 h. the restaurant is open. Until then, you can pick up food at a desk.
Eten afhalen aan de balie op het terras is ook een optie. This can be done until 19:30 (unless otherwise indicated).
For groceries, there are a number of supermarkets in the area. For example, in Nötsch lies and Billa and a Spruce. In Villach is a very large Spar: Interspar, in a rather large shopping centre.
In Arnoldstein, you find a Lidl.
Campingguests can use the swimming pool right next to the municipality free of charge.
This includes a lawn meadow (with shady areas and a few wooden benches), slide and play island.
Access to the camping guests by means of a coin, for which a deposit of 5 euros is required.
Upon return, they will be returned.
Wifi is met wachtwoord en gratis voor campinggasten. The range - as in many campsites - is poor, but on a bench near the reception it is well done.
ParkingProvided there is enough space, a car may stand on your pitch. Next to the campsite there is a spacious parking space.
There are pitches in various sizes. We stood on one of 100 m2, which made it possible.
