Review Camping Kinzigtal Steinach Black Forest Germany

Camping “Kinzigtal” is a super nice campsite in the Black Forest, Germany.
Run by a very friendly family. There is also good Dutch speaking staff.

During the high season there is a Dutch animation. This partly because there are many people booking through Vacansoleil.Of these, a number of furnished tents are located on dedicated fields.

One of the components is mini-disco, which takes place almost daily by the pool in good weather.

Shaded pitches

There are many shady pitches, as there are many trees on the best spacious fields.

There is good power connection in closed cabinets.
You can use Wifi for free. Please note: without password. Pay attention to where you log in.(link opens externally)

This is cleaned three times a day.You don't need shower dots. There is also a room with 2 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers.Only there is only one sanitary block.I find quite little, but may lie to me.

For example, there were sometimes queues to dishes to be able to do it.

All camping guests are free to use the adjacent large swimming pool for FREE.They get access by showing their valid Konuskarte. There is decent supervision with good first aid.

Eat/ Drink

In the camping shop, sandwiches are available in the morning at €0.45 (I find expensive, but good).Other products can also be found there.Including, of course, Schwarzwalderschinken, blissful sandwich.

There is plenty of choice in the opposite restaurant on the campsite.

The location of the campsite is also great:

  • 45 minutes driving from the Europark , Germany's largest amusement park.
  • Ten minutes walking distance from the train station.

As a camping guest, you get a so-called “Konuskarte” that allows you to travel for free by train and bus throughout the whole of Schwarzwald during your stay.So ideal.

Base base

Furthermore, the campsite “Kinzigtal” is a great base. From there, for example, Gutach is about 20 minutes drive.
There is a beautiful open air museum and a nice toboggan run.

Just outside the centre of Hasslach is a 54-meter high lookout tower on a mountain. The ride to the parking lot (follow sign “Vulcan”) is beautiful. From there it is still 1 km.walk up fairly steeply.

You can go to a glassworks in Wolfach.Children are allowed to blow a vase there themselves, which you can then buy for 18 euros.(Should not, may.)

Near the campsite you can already enjoy this beautiful view:

Supermarkets are also plenty in the area.In Steinach itself is an Edeka and 3.5 km away, in Hasslach, you will find the REWE, Aldi and Norma.

You can also buy in the village of Steinach at the bakery Schwarzwalderkirschtorte.

A blissful pie with cherries from the Black Forest!

In the environment, in addition to cherries, also grow blackberries, apples, and plums.

In short: a must
