Tortillataart after a recipe from Elisabeth's Magazine

#yoorskookstudio

@ElisabethsMagazine plaatste afgelopen week onderstaande blog en deze sprak mij enorm aan. So I made this recipe yesterday, with a few adjustments and I'll show that under the link. It was very tasty and absolutely recommended again to try. If you don't like spicy (though that was too bad), you can of course also use other spices and not add tabasco.

Getting Started

These are the ingredients I used.

What's different from the recipe of Elisabeth's Magazine, is that I did not use beef minced meat, but half to half minced meat. I like that better, because beef minced meat is often very dry. Unfortunately, our regular butcher was closed, so I just bought the minced meat from the LIDL (nonsponsored).

Also I could not find the quesadilla herbs in both the LIDL and the JUMBO and I chose Picadillo herbs. Also very tasty!

In addition, I used mozzarella grated cheese. I couldn't find the Pecorino cheese either.... but sometimes something else can also be good and in this case it was so 😉

Of course I followed the recipe well and below I take you to Diaantjes cooking studio to show you how I made it and how it ended up on my plate!

To begin with, I first fruit the onions and as soon as they are glassy, I add the garlic. I used 3 cloves instead of 1.

After that, add the minced meat, fry it, then add the spices. Also the mushrooms went there.

In this picture you can see that the tomato paste, tomato ketchup and the Tabasco has been added. You don't really see that last of course!

In the recipe no Elisabeth says that you do not need to clean the pan, but simply put the first 2 halves of the whole grain tortillas directly into the pan. I put the contents of the meatmix in a bowl separately.

You slowly build up your layers until you use 3 tortillas. On each layer of meatmix, sprinkle some grated cheese. After the 3rd layer, put the lid on the pan and leave it on a low burner for 12 minutes.

Unfortunately he didn't go very well on my plate, but you can see well the layers and also that the cheese has melted nicely. It was very tasty and my husband totally agreed. We have smoulded!
