Even though I was really shy, I was so surprised that I spent all day smiling.
What did he give me?
Oh gosh, imagine this...
He took a pine cone and painted it white.
That was his idea of a gift that would impress a girl.
Was I impressed with his gift?
Well it smelt of really strong paint and it gave me a headache, but I was also impressed that he took the time to paint this rather unusual gift. As you can imagine it can't be that easy and as young as I was I did appreciate the sentiment.
