07-04-2022... Everything is going to be more expensive, but this is really cheap
I do not bring news that the prices in NL are currently under way and some products are supposedly scarce.
Sunflower oil? Really. flours? And hup the fear in man is going to hoard again. Idiotry at the top.
And no, I don't close my eyes to what could still occur in shortages and not because there is a war between Ukraine and Russia. It's totally separate from it. Is gratefully abused of, incidentally, by European politics.
I have also prepared, as far as I can, for the any scarcity in the future (gas, electricity, food etc.), which I hope won't come.
Like this, like not a kitchen princess, I started to grow vegetables.
Who you?!!
Yes, I.
I've actually been wanting for years and now going to give it a try. The Lidl had a lot of grow containers on offer and I have now filled 2 with flowers, but also with easy vegetables. And everything comes up. I'm already looking forward to my cherry tomatoes and rocket salad and cucumber. Jammieeeeee
By the way, below 2 blogs that are fun to plant/seed/grow your own vegetable

But I'm straying.
I was talking about the rising costs.
That sowing and stuff is, of course, fun, but before that is edible, I'll be a few weeks further. If I already succeed.
Now I am a click and want until something seems to come out of the ground that is edible, in the meantime also have something to eat.
And I wouldn't be Dutch if it can be cheaper.
There are now many supermarkets that considerably discount products that reach the end date of freshness. That can be very interesting. I am a bargain hunter just like in other articles. Think of kitchen appliances, clothes, and even more necessity. Lovely to do.
But also an impulse buyer and then nullify everything I once bought cheaply. On balance in general, I'm just as expensive out. But it's about the sport.
Last week, in a dark corner at the Trekpleister, I came across an airfryer for 44 euros. Had to dig it out seriously under all the articles they had put on top. I didn't have to think about buying it long. Also something that had been on my 'wish list' for a while.
By the way, did you know that you don't have to buy airfryer products for that thing at all? Regular fries or snacks do great in the airfryer. My next project will be bread.
But I'm straying again.
Back to the products that have been discounted due to. the end date.
I am now addicted to the app 'Too good to go'
There you can score various boxes. Bread- vegetable or magic box.
The average value is 15 euro, but a magic box will cost 5 euro.
Last week, I had my food burned for the umpteenth time. So the pee in. Wanted to make a spot. No more potatoes, so a retake wasn't in it.

The first thing that came to mind was. PIZZAaaaaaa, but no, but not.
And suddenly I thought. let's see if there's a box that I can pick up today. It hasn't happened to me so far and maybe that's not the intention, that there's no meal in it. Or a ready-made or one you can make.
I came across another magic box from the AH. Bought right away. Surprise, of course, what's in it, because it was a 'to go' AH that you see mostly at stations.
Well, I can tell you. I had a delicious meal with dessert 🤣 And the kittens too, because they get the meat or if it's a lot, I'll take that to a girlfriend. Like the last 4 bacon patches. Well, let her family consist of 4 people.

Now there are also vegetarian shops/restaurants or organic shops near me, which are in this app, so that makes me really happy.
Moral of this story. I do less and less shopping in the store and buy my food via this app.
There is no pet store connected in my neighborhood yet 🤣, so that's why I still have to do groceries.
And for the flour, because it's always sold out.
Because yes, I bake my own bread !! And don't laugh, with sunflower oil ...
Also an idea for you, this app?
