#100happydays day 22
Bunnies
Mommy Bunny lived happily with her 2 of her babies with us until last year. The day before Easter, one died and on my mother's birthday the other. With the winter at the door we found this very sad for Mom Bunny, the idea that she would sit alone in the loft without being able to warm herself to another. We went to a rabbit shelter and the owner showed us the possibilities that might fit Bunny. Bunny was with us, so that we could see if it could be a match on the spot. My eye fell on Dobby the gray bunny, he reminded me of the many rabbits my pake used to have, lofts full of! My thoughts wandered into my childhood and after another round of all possible matches, we decided to try it with Dobby. They were put together in a room and we let them get used to each other. After a while, they looked for each other and we dared to trust that this would work out. Dobby went with me, and then the wait was blown. The next few days, Mama showed that she was the boss of the house and not to expect too much from her, her will was law! But slowly things went better and with a lot of patience also Dobby eats some goodies out of my hand and they often sit against each other in the loft as we intended.. Pat is another step, if I reach that again I am really satisfied. However, patience is a clean thing! But bringing something delicious in the afternoon around tea time is a moment of happiness every day that makes me realize how grateful I am that my friend has animals. #100happydays #rabbits #animallove
