10cc - Silly Love/ The sacro-lliac
In 1974, 10cc released their second studio album titled "Sheet Music." This album featured hits like "The Wall Street Shuffle" and "Silly Love." It was a period during which 10cc was renowned for their eclectic mix of musical styles and innovative approach to pop music.
The single I'm presenting here includes two tracks from this album, "Silly Love" and "The Sacro-Iliac." These are also some of the lesser-known tracks.
The song "Silly Love" is the sixth single released by 10cc, intended as a counterpoint to the love songs prevalent at that time by other pop artists, which they found somewhat dull. Hence, the inclusion of the word "silly" in the title song. In response, Paul McCartney later released a song titled "Silly Love Songs" two years later.
The track "The Sacro-Iliac" refers to a dance where you sit on the ground with your buttocks.
