TWELVE ROSES [12] - A Thirteen Reasons Why Fan Fiction

On the twelfth day, everything changed.

When I went to my locker, I expected to find another rose. But instead, I found a bouquet.

People were staring and whispering, not daring to approach the locker.

There was a little note, attached to the flowers. At first glance so simple. Even what was written were just two words.

Turn around.

And when I did, I was left speechless, gasping and giggling from shock who was in front of my eyes.

There stood Clay Jensen, smiling lovingly. From where had he appeared? I couldn't help but smile back. So he had been the one who had created the project?

Helmet.

I wanted to cry from joy. But no tears streamed from my eyes. I didn't even feel the limp in my throat.

"Hannah," he started. "From the day we met, I've always loved you. And you know that."

I giggled.

If Clay could, he would probably have showered me with kisses and hugs in the hallway. But he was a shyer, more reserved guy, who knew what respect was. I remembered how before we made out, he asked me if I wanted this. If only I hadn't rejected him. I would never stop feeling guilty for that.

In the end, I learned that it had been not only Clay but also Tony who had arranged everything, their goal being to make me happy. And it had worked.

There was one more thing to live for. Now, I had a chance to make friends. And I knew that Clay and Tony would be by my side. I wouldn't be alone any longer.

Everything was going to change.
