17-09-2021... Ah gossie
Rarely cried so hard for a car. A car, yes. My first. You don't forget your first love. He was such a happy car.
We talk 1984. Inspections didn't exist, and the cars I drove in were really barrels. As long as they drove.
If I think back to that seriously. That I'm still alive.
But not my first. That was a fine trolley.
I maintained it well, because I was freaky.
And that's where the problems came. Me and being flieft don't really go together. At least not in the long run. So with my first car love. Sigh.
I was living together at the time and we just got back from vacation. His sister had just received a house in Almere (of all places) that barely existed in 1984.
I was still at the roots of Almere when I worked at Bouwbedrijf Moes. The job was fun, but I didn't like Almere back then. But that aside.
I promised to do jobs in her new cottage.
I brought my sweet little poison green car to the garage the day before for a little maintenance. So with peace of mind I get in my car. There was a hitchhiker near the highway driveway. Had to go to Almere.
'Hop in', dude, I'm also going to Almere. Gosert happy because he just stood there.
We were tufting onto the highway and less than 10 minutes later I saw smoke coming under the hood. That didn't seem a good sign. The hitchhiker wasn't comfortable either.
It stinks, huh?, I said Yes, doesn't look good, he agrees.
He seemed slightly panicked when he said he actually wanted to get out.
I'm not so quick to panic but got his reaction.
Car put aside and the hitchhiker got out of relief and said he would walk to the gas station. I think it was a little 500 metres away. And there he would call the ANWB.
He waved and left my smoking car.
I'm not of course, because I wasn't going to leave my treasure alone. It suddenly had a heavy cold.
I'm not very handy with cars, but given the smoke development, I didn't get the impression that it was going to stop.
I also decided to walk to the gas station and call my boyfriend, because this green poison frog wasn't going to take me to Almere today.
When I arrived at the pump, I just saw the lifter get in another car.
The ANWB is coming, he shouted.
Boyfriend called if he wanted to come and get me because the car isn't quite good. He was still ruffing in his bed and had to act all of a sudden.
Outside I waited for his arrival. And suddenly I saw black plumes of smoke in the distance. Of course, I knew immediately that that was my green poopy and I had to cry right away. I had been so frugal with him and there he was going up in smoke on his own. Without me.
But that's where I was mistaken. Boyfriend arrived and took me back to where the car was standing.
He said right away that the car was no longer rescuable.
“Marion, the fire brigade is already in. They stand to extinguish it.'
On the other side of the highway, I saw the fire brigade busy. We had to get to the right side of the highway for a while and that took about seven more minutes.
Arrived at the place of mischief and well, it was so sweet of him when he said I couldn't look better at all. But I had to. And cried thick tears.
In the evening we had a birthday and we walked in and I was stormed just about the same. Did you read the paper?!!!
Your car is in the newspaper.
Well, read for yourself from the article, which did that little maintenance.
Do you know what kind of car I had?

I requested the other photos from the photographer, who just happened to be driving by.
