Bees are extremely important, everyone has heard that already. They play a big role as pollinators for nature
In 2017, 20 May was chosen as World Bee Day, it is the anniversary of one of the first beekeepers, Anton Janša. In the 18th century he was a Pioneer Beekeeper in the new technique. He found that bees work extremely hard (for humans), while they need little attention.
World Bee Day is not just about bees, but also about other pollinators, such as butterflies, bats and hummingbirds.
Pollinators are increasingly threatened by man. Pollinators are important for preserving biodiversity and, of course, primarily for food security. For the goals of sustainability, biodiversity is extremely important. The natural cycles of food, natural enemies and natural disease control are much more likely here than in mass production or monoculture (1 crop in a huge area).
