Sometimes as players we spend so much time waiting for that long-awaited game, and this can translate to waiting months or years, but after getting it and starting to play, we got the surprise that it's not what we were sold in the trailer and we were disappointed because they weren't what we were looking for. The most common causes are design aesthetics, development problems, mechanical errors or misleading marketing propaganda, and almost always when several of these elements are put together the result is fatal.

Alien: Colonial Marines
The games of Alien they always raise high expectations for gamers. To add, it is one of the most appreciated film saga by the public and has had good games, but Alien: Colonial Marines wasn't meant to be successful. After several years in development with cancellations and restarts of the project, SEGA and GEARBOX brought us into the depths of space to fight the aliens, a tough battle. The result was a shooting game that while it was a little entertaining but very old-fashioned, which unfortunately will go down in history due to the bad AI of its enemies, full of bugs , and with poor graphics quality and other technical failures, which led to a resounding failure.

Mass Effect: Andromeda
For 2017 it was one of the most anticipated titles, there were high expectations to see what BioWare had prepared and how the science fiction saga would develop without Commander Shepard. But something went wrong in its development and failed to live up to the original trilogy . Its gameplay is not bad and it has some details that maintain its essence, but it has fallen far from becoming that epic and unforgettable space epic that we all expected.
