Below you'll find savings tips to cut down food, groceries and general household savings. Hope to help you guys with this:)

Save on groceries and food

  • Make use of coupons.
  • Create a shopping list and bring only the products on it.
  • Put 1 item back before you arrive at the checkout, this will save a bit.
  • Compose weekly menus.
  • Always bring your own bag when you go to the store, so you don't have to buy a bag in the store.
  • Boil large quantities and freeze. This costs money and time.
  • Go to the market, here are some products cheaper than in the store (such as fruit).
  • Often cook your food yourself, this saves a lot of money.
  • Grow your own herbs.
  • Make use of a vegetable garden and grow your own vegetables.
  • Eat a little less meat, this saves your money. Or eat cheaper meat.
  • Never throw away food. Store it for the next day (freeze it or refrigerate).
  • Always bring your own lunch/breakfast.
  • Buy products from the local farmer.
  • Prepare your coffee or tea at home and take it with you in a thermos cup.
  • Freeze your bread and defrost only what you eat today.
  • Make sure you make cheaper meals like soup or salads.
  • Compare product prices (per kg or litre).

  • If you don't have/receive coupons: you can also check the offers from certain stores and then only purchase the products that are in the advertising. If you need to go off a number of stores for advertising items, this saves money again.
