Music lovers from all over the world have gathered in a medieval church in Sankt Burchardi, located in a city in Germany called
Halberstadt.
They have gathered to listen to some small adjustments of chords of the longest musical piece in history, which lasts 639 years and is the same
will end in the year 2640.
The performance of “Organ/ASLSP”, was created in 1987 by the American composer John Cage, this piece began on September 05, 2001
by means of an organ specially built for the aforementioned event.
The musical score is composed of 8 extensive pages, which have to be played slowly on piano or on organ. These changes occurred
in 2013, and the next one will be planned for February 05, 2022.
Undoubtedly, pieces of our humanity that will leave their mark on the memory of those who appreciate good music.
