Master of the Black Mill (Krabat) - Otfried Preußler

This book was read to me in 6th grade, a very unusual choice I can tell you. It is a somewhat rawer Harry Potter avant la lettre and then all parts in one.

It is possible the book that has had the most impression and influence on my life. I still thank Master Pim Piek for his choice and suspect him of various things because of his choice. When I got this book around 30, it had not lost any tension.
