9 nd CHEMO
Flash Back.
Nine months after the last chemo, I'm not feeling well.
Just to the doctor and take blood tests, because you have to.
I take a seat in a big brown chair and you kindly greet me.
In a flash, the chemo passes.
That chair, suddenly it turns red.
Your needles are smaller but look the same size.
You tap my veins and say “Oh how hard they are”.
I'm telling you about my chemo, I see you're starting.
Here we go the torture has begun. Maybe I'm lucky and things will happen quickly.
Every needle you put, every prick I feel, brings me back to chemo.
Apologies give me, you're really, really trying your best.
Then suddenly you see my wet eyes and the bullying stops for a moment.
I see you searching for words and giving you redemption.
It's all good.
You're going to continue pricking again, because you have to!
