Qali Warma

Qali Warma is a Quechua word meaning "vigorous child".

In Peru, it is a service that provides quality food with universal reach to all children in public institutions at the pre-school and primary levels in Peru.

It is a program created in October 2012, replacing the National Food Assistance Program (NFAP), and it depends on the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (MDIS).

The purpose is to provide varied and nutritious food to children in kindergarten and primary education in public schools throughout Peru, in addition to the secondary level in indigenous populations of the Peruvian Amazon.
