Because of my work, I come home to people who could use help with the household. Think of seniors, hardworking mothers or who can't do everything anymore because of illness. I have been doing this for more than 10 years and still with great pleasure.
Around Christmas, everyone of me gets a little attention. Previous years I had always bought something but I wanted to give something I had made myself. It's been a race against time, though.
If you start with something new, in this case acrylic pouring, you need to find your twist. How do you make your paint? Should not be too thick but certainly not too thin. Which colors fit best together to get a beautiful result?
I spent hours following other fluid artists to see how they manage to create a beautiful work of art. A workshop followed at Rinske Douna in The Hague to really learn how to make a Dutch pour by only diluting the paint with water. Shops finished to get the necessary materials at home.
The first paintings were really not to look at but after a lot of practice I started to get nice in it. Even my mother liked the paintings I had made for her birthday very much and were allowed to be hung immediately. The autumn shades fit well with her in the living room.
My son also raised his finger. If I wanted to make him one in blue for work.
Every time I make something, he honestly lets you know what he thinks. I think we should figure out my best works together that I could exhibit. Tomorrow or maybe tonight, I'll show you some other work I've done as a gift. #fluid Art
