A beautiful wax flower: the Hoya Carnosa
The plant has thin, up to 6 m long stems with short roots that attach to trees and rocks. It has thick-fleshed, opposing leaves that have a waxy sheen and silver dots here and there.
The flower type consists of a long 1-3 cm stem from which the 2-4 cm long individual flower stems originate
Up to 30 flowers grow in umbels
The flowers begin to smell strongly at dusk and are then pollinated by insects.
The flower grows on trees and rocks originally in India, China and Australia.
