A dead man and a dead sparrow

Yesterday, on my way home, I saw a dead sparrow lying on the road. Cars drove off and on over and around. Cyclists cycled along and hikers walked along it. No one stopped, no one called anyone to account. Life went on without even a moment of reflection on what might possibly have happened to this sparrow...
I still remember the “dominomus”, the sparrow, who was shot to death because he could throw over the dominomus. The program got a negative aftertaste because this was quoted by the media with a lot of fuss and animal activists were angry about the way in which a sparrow life was handled. The animal was honored, by still being admired in a museum.
I'm trying to understand something here, but why can't I? A dead sparrow...?
Then I think about a man who died of violence. A dark-colored man dies from police brutality. The man was apprehended and due to the wrong action of the policeman, the man suffocates and dies. The whole world is upside down! The media is throwing more and more oil on the fire, cops, all over the world are being put away as a criminal.
A big protest about racism breaks out and half the world protests with it.
And then I see a little message in the paper about an elderly couple abused and robbed in their own home. The man eventually died of the consequences, the perpetrators are still fugitive, according to the article. One more time in BOLO Requested, then I won't hear about it.
Where are all these people now, who stand up for elderly people being attacked by criminals? Regardless of color or nationality? Then where are those people?
I don't understand... #dodemanendodemus
