A drop of drama
Sea level drops dramatically. Amsterdam water level drops. Broad rivers become narrow streams. Houseboats are being left on dry land. Ponds are just moist potholes. The largest lakes have shrunk to small pools of water. Water wells across the country are drying out.
Everyone is longing for a heavy thunderstorm. One where the angels empty their bladders in a row from the air. Even the most fanatical sun worshippers go out en masse to get some moisture with rain dances.
In the meantime, the rules are being tightened. Doomsday scenarios are discussed. If there is no intervention now, there will be no future for our children.
And I? I shrug my shoulders. It will be okay again. Nature does not allow itself to be forced. Nature does not care about any measures. Nature is evolving, as it has always done.

Well, you're right. I water my vegetable garden, because the harvest is too good to let go. But the grass. well, that will come through again. If it starts to rain once, I'm sure it won't stop. On its fall, so. with wind and everything.
