A frog that turns blue for a moment
In the Netherlands, he is listed as vulnerable and is on the red list. However, the species is not really endangered. Because the frog is found in many countries.
What is remarkable about this frog is that it turns blue for about a week. It's really fun to watch. Probably especially for the frog females who keep their brown color.
The octopus in particular is a master at this. He can adapt his view to the environment in which he lives. So you don't notice him in between. With the Octopus, it is not the hormones that cause this color change. But different molecules they store in their skin. Punish them for being able to do that? They see their surroundings and suddenly they look like that environment. This is really special.
It seems like they suddenly switch to a different color with the help of the Fairy's magic wand. But of course, it has to do with certain substances that they store in their cells that do their job.
