A good preparation is the half marathon

With more than a week to go before the City Pier City half marathon in its own city, #BeInspired in all areas. The route is known, I get my race number the day before the run and can be linked to my app during the race so that the auxiliary troops can see where I am on the course in real time.
Weather or no weather, an outfit is ready that supports optimal performance under conditions and the footwear is also ready and wait for the dry or wetter version before the laces are fastened.
The kilometers have run, a rainy ten this morning, a general twenty-one for the form Saturday, a super-fast three on Sunday, a slow 15 on Monday and into the sauna, work on Tuesday and a zen seven, a rest day on Wednesday but working, Thursday a fartlek seven after work, Friday rest and swim and focus on Saturday.
Ten days prior to the CPC, I eat and drink completely vegan; rice, pasta and whole wheat bread with vegetables, vegetables and more vegetables. Fruit, nuts and lots of water and tea. Don't brew the coffee for a while, because after a week of withdrawal, a double espresso works like a red flag on a bull half an hour before the start. To supplement vitamins and minerals, no alcohol and a gel here and there during training.
The results of the past few weeks are encouraging, to say the least. One PR out of five, ten and a half and encouraging intervals for the schedule in mind. The musical setting has also been finalized!
