A group of scientists make a bioluminescent discovery
The trip to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil is quite an undertaking in itself. Paula Spaeth Anich, Noah Gothke and Eric ROlson, ecologists, have been sent to collect and study 1 copy of the different species of bioluminescent mushrooms they find. Afterwards, they will classify them according to their toxicity. After all, the green-yellow, neon-like light that they emit is toxic. The mushrooms use it to scare off any picking or eating individuals.
So they have plenty of time to rest in the day.
Which, of course, they do after a nice lunch.
As soon as the sun set, they gather to the rainforest with guide Leonard and sniper Rodney. That is necessary. Because during the night, looking for food, ocelots, jaguars, wild cats, snakes, anacondas, etc sneak through the forest. Not to mention the smaller animals. Like eg. the poisonous frogs.
