It was Halloween night and a group of friends were trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. As they were walking down the street, they noticed a house that was decorated with an elaborate haunted house display. The friends were excited to see what was inside, so they knocked on the door.
A man answered the door dressed as a mad scientist. He invited the friends inside and showed them around the haunted house, which was filled with spooky decorations and creepy noises. The friends were having a great time until they reached the final room, which was supposed to be the scariest of all.
As they entered the room, they were greeted by a loud, deep voice that boomed, "Who dares to enter the chamber of horrors?" The friends were scared and jumped back, but then they heard a snicker and saw the mad scientist peeking out from behind a curtain, holding a megaphone.
The friends couldn't stop laughing as the mad scientist apologized for scaring them. They ended up having a great time trick-or-treating and couldn't wait to come back to the haunted house the following year.
