A poem ABOUT UNCLE FREDDY ZWIER BY HIS COUSIN MARKO ZWIER

Hello,

My Marko Zwier uncle Freddy Zwier passed away in August 2022.
I still miss him a lot in October 2023. It still saddens me a lot.
It was my favorite uncle. I was there when she died.
I've never experienced that before, being there when someone died.
I was 39 years old at the time. I had seen dead people before.

I share the poem that I made about and for him here.
I also read that to him at his cremation.

Hello favorite Uncle Freddy Zwier.
You are a fun but also a crazy human animal.
On the one hand, too bad, but also lucky, you are no longer here.
On Earth, for the most part, it was a party for you.
In your own way, you were a party animal, so you were a party animal.

Best guy now that you're in heaven.
Don't make fun on Earth anymore.
You are now out of your mind there in the sky.

We have built many memories with you.
All of them are stored in my brain.
What have we both done in all this time?
I don't call them all by name.
The ones I mention are nice. Maybe we're in a dent again.

Babysitting, you did that often.
Then play on top of you and play with you and the fun was a hit again.

Sailed on the canals with a yacht, what a beauty.
To Madurodam but also Amsterdam.
Grab the terraces and later drink from the puddles.

At a bingo attraction at the fair, well, that wasn't wrong. Many great prizes
We weren't going to tell grandma the full amount spent.

We had fun together for four.
We sometimes gave each other a beating.
You won the prize for the winning ticket.

Over the holidays and birthdays, I was glad to have you with us.
That fits like a warm jacket.
Then, with New Year's Eve as a highlight, it was our favor.
Like with our fireworks with a sigh in the air.

There are other things about sailing your life that I saw and experienced.
You were one of my biggest fans on Facebook.
You flooded my posts with likes and comments like a big splash of water.

I noticed that your great patience and self-control was a strength of character.
You had a tap for years, drinking from the same plastic cup.
Freddy was a generous guy who also knows the value of the money.

In your last hour of life, I did what else I could care for you.
I won't lose you forever, because this is a temporary farewell.
