Asdrubal José Hurtado, better known as Cheo Hurtado is a virtuoso musician, performer of stringed instruments such as Guitar, Bandola, Mandolin; recognized worldwide as one of our best performers of the Venezuelan Cuatro, member and founder of the Ensemble Gurrufio group one of the most famous folk music.
Born in 60 in Ciudad Bolívar here in Venezuela, he had the musical influence from an early age as his father Ramón Hurtado was a renowned guitarist. He was a student of a great performer of Cuatro, maestro Hernan Gamboa, since he was young he participated in several groups of different genres, which allowed him to nurture himself and have a wide range of knowledge of our folklore. In the year 84 he founded the Ensamble Gurrufio group, which through research and innovation promotes our music.
