A teacher without students...

Virtual classes are finishing and with this begins a new concern... resetting face-to-face classes? For many it represents a concern because we are clear the activities in the house are not as deep as if they were in the classrooms, attention to a pantallita is not the same as having the teacher in front.
Today I heard a teacher say that she was very sad because she could not see her students in the eye, face to face and that “A teacher without students, she is not a teacher”, I felt doubtful about returning to school because nobody wants to risk so we have all the vaccines.. there is so much uncertainty and doubts that this return is not easy.
The classrooms are still silent... the smell of pencil has decreased... you don't hear the ringbells anymore... the playgrounds are empty... children's laughter and laughter are missing... The trash can in the living room is empty... the blackboard is clean... I felt that teacher was very sad.
We comment much about the stress in the house with the multiple tasks they send daily or that if the internet does not work well and there is an online class, but those teachers, teachers, and teachers of vocation miss their students too, miss teaching, craving the bustle of a room full of little ones eager to learn and play.
I applaud and respect all these professionals who dedicate themselves with love to teach in the classrooms, who are often the comfort and joy of their students, are support and dedication, to you Master Matilde who well knows how much respect and appreciation I will tell you, soon, in the perfect time of God will return and will continue to be inspiration and encouragement for your little boys.
