" een foto is meer waard dan een duizend woorden"  is een veel gehoorde opmerking, maar dit is niet altijd waar, en waarom is dit niet altijd waar?

Context.
Een foto is namelijk niet in staat te liegen (toch/?), maar de context kan wel degelijk anders zijn dan  de foto doet vermoeden, waardoor iets verkeerd kan worden geintrpeteerd en gebruikt worden  voor slechte doel einden.
Mensen geven hier vaak photoshop de schuld van deze, maar  het werd vroeger ook al veel vuldig ggedaan.  Stalin stond er om bekend om disidenten uit foto's te halen van Lenin, om op deze manier te laten lijken of deze mensen helaam nooit echt bestaan hadden.

En toch hou ik ook wel van die duizend woorden en de  redelijke eerlijkheid van foto's, foto's kunnen namelijk ook  verhalen vertellen met een enkele klik. en dit kan een verhaal zijn die anders is voor elke  andere persoon.
