It is a rich and nutritious recipe, 100% vegetable and one of the healthiest and fit ways to eat oatmeal (oatmeal) taking advantage of all its benefits.

For starters, some use only plant-based milk, others only water. In our opinion, the best result is obtained with a mix of both.
And... the most important thing... Never miss the topping!
Of course the simplest way to prepare oatmeal in flakes is with vegetable milk and a lot of cinnamon ("rice pudding" style) and that's it.
But the more things you add to it, the richer it will be.
We usually decorate it with dried and fresh fruit at the same time, to play with the consistencies and flavors of the ingredients.
You will only have to change them every day and you will have a different breakfast.
Also since the topping gives it a lot of flavor, you can prepare the vegan porridge without sugar, to make it lighter and healthier.
However, you can sweeten it to taste with dates, panela or a splash of agave or maple syrup.
Ingredients
80 g instant oatmeal or soft oat flakes
160 g water
160 g vegetable milk
1 tablespoon pure cocoa powder (optional)
To decorate (one or more of the following options):
1 tablespoon agave or maple syrup (optional)
Cinnamon (optional)
Nuts: walnuts, pistachios, cashews, etc.
Nut butters (peanuts, almonds and hazelnuts are our favorites)
Fresh or frozen fruit: banana, red fruits, pomegranate, apple, kiwi, strawberries or any seasonal option
Dehydrated fruit: raisins, blueberries, aches or mango among others
Cooked fruit: baked pears or apples with cinnamon and pine nuts
Dehydrated coconut
Chia seeds, pipes, pumpkin seeds
Nibs or dark chocolate chips
Vegan Nutella (it hits you with vice)

How to make vegan porridge (traditional or chocolate)
Mix the water, vegetable milk and oatmeal in a casserole.
Optional: if you want to prepare a porridge with chocolate, also add the cocoa powder.
Cook over low heat, stirring often until it starts to boil.
Pour yourself on a plate, decorate agave syrup and the topping you have chosen.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
in a microwave-safe bowl, mix the water, vegetable milk, and oatmeal.
Cook everything at maximum power (800 W) for 2 minutes.
Stir and reheat for 2 more minutes.
Depending on the power of your microwave, extend the cooking until you achieve a creamy consistency.
