I've been without water for almost four days. It doesn't bring real problems yet. The amount of wax is growing, but there's still plenty in the closet. Yesterday I announced that I was going to clean up my wardrobes and I did so well. Two large garbage bags are ready for our half-yearly clothing exchange meeting. What remains goes back to the church's clothing distribution. There will be some things to do because there is a pile that I have to fit first and it is still a bit too cold for me in the bedroom.

The neighborhood super has responded well to the problem and a huge supply of bottled water is in the store. It is also the place where the latest news (and gossip) are exchanged. There I heard a number of people have been told that it is not going to take one, but two weeks. Not exactly an optimistic message.

The water itself is not a problem yet, but the bottles and buckets are now everywhere. I know the routes through my house flawlessly and when I go out at night I rarely turn on the lights. So you better do that when you have buckets and bottles everywhere. One step too much to the left and yes, a 6-liter bottle of water (of course without a cap) on its side and I almost snuffles on my side. Fortunately, it was in the bathroom and there's a drain. But it did cause a lot of night activity. All the lights on. Find mop. Get new water for the toilet. With a dripping bath mat through half the house. Dog of battle. She thought it was morning and now she'd get her food. I washed my feet immediately, so that is a positive point.

Because of all the clothed wipes instead of washing hands, I notice that my nails get very dirty. Of course, I didn't see that until I had to pay in the store. So I put them in my pockets again very quickly.

A new challenge tomorrow. I get visitors, two adults and two small children. They already have a big trip on it and that usually all means immediately upon arrival to the smallest room. This time with extensive instruction. That was usually there already in shortened version because here the used paper must be in a bucket next to the toilet. First of all, because the place gets clogged very quickly and we have a millet instead of sewer. But now also because flushing liters of extra water will cost.
