It took me a while to find the time to write this blog, but here it is! The end result of my first clay creations. I like to call this a world of clay because I can see that I will do this even more in the near future. As you know (if you read the first part) I made several dolls and objects with clay. Now I also finished the second doll! In this part I show the progression of how I painted everything.

On the left side of the picture you can see everything as it was after they have been able to dry 1.5 days. Also you can immediately see what kind of paint I use, this is real acrylic craft paint that I was able to get from my local craft shop. Never thought I'd actually get anything there haha

For starters, I thought, from light to dark. Because dark colors cover better and if you paint too much of the light paint in the wrong place you can go over that. For this reason I started painting the leaves of the tree, the roof of the house and the skin color of the dolls. The green was easy, directly from the tube. But the roof and skin color was already more difficult, for this I had to mix a red with white. I soon noticed that you should not pick up red and add white... But just the other way around. Grab white and always add some red to get the right color! This was a little learning moment for me.
