“Beating, spitting, mental abuse: top sport is hard, but this has nothing to do with top sport”
Former top gymnasts Verona van de Leur and Stasja Köhler tell the abuse scandal of American gymnast Larry Nassar. He abused hundreds of gymnasts during his career. At Margriet's table, the two former athletes tell us that this abuse scandal in the American world is not isolated.

“There are no healthy #topsporters ', says Amina almost abundantly when Margarita again suffers from pain in her foot. After that, the former gymnast, who finished fourth at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, shows a scar on her own foot. She then points to another athlete, a direct competitor of Margarita Mamun. “Yana Kudryatseva broke her leg.” Like she's trying to say “biting on, baby.”

She goes for gold and at the same time seems chronically unhappy. The Russian gymnast Margarita Mamun can burst into tears in Over The Limit (73 min.) at any moment. She's constantly overtired. In the run-up to the most important sports competition of her life, the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she commits robbery on her body. Meanwhile, she also requires the utmost of her mind — her ability to collect in particular.
