The riddle of the black particles in #bloedplasma . You can see them with the naked eye: small black particles floating around in bags of blood plasma. Through a whistleblower network, NRC editors Jeroen Wester and Liza van Lonkhuyzen gained insight into thousands of documents on the contaminated plasma. What are these particles?Nobody seems to know.

May 2011, they enter Sanquin blood bank. Return sender. Two Dutch hospitals are sending back bags of blood plasma. The plasma is intended to be administered to patients, but black pieces float in it.
