#kids Albino children are those boys who have their hair, eyelashes and eyebrows very blonde, so blond that they look gray. Their skin is pale and the eyes are usually blue. Because of these physical characteristics, these children have extreme sensitivity to light and have visual problems.

Albinism occurs when the body produces little melanin, so pigmentation in the skin, eyes and hair is greatly reduced. It is caused by congenital problems and has no cure, although you should know that it is not a degenerative disease.

Although the most common characteristics of albinism are those that you see with the naked eye in the skin, eyes and hair. There are other types of albinism that are so easy for us to recognize among them:

1. Oculacutaneous albinism: affects the skin, hair and eyes. Within this type of albinism there are two subcategories, it can occur in cases where there is no melanin and others in which melanin synthesis is minimal, in addition they suffer from severe vision problems.

2. Partial albinism: affects only one part of the body, be it eyes, skin or hair. They may even have a single white strand in their hair.

Remember that the main care you should take with children who suffer from albinism is to protect their skin exceptionally, do not allow them to sunbathe without protection.
