In a world where everything could be done until recently, we are now being pressed with our nose on the facts that we need to save. on a lot of things.
Energy prices are swinging out in many countries and that is often for the modal family
a very big problem. Even where two work is being done, it is sometimes very difficult to be able to keep paying for this. These high fuel prices also make a lot of other things more expensive and not only luxury things, but also food. These producers often also burst below the high energy prices and charge that on to their consumers. so we, that's how we feel the blow twice. So in one way or another, we have to find a way in this so that it remains affordable for an ever-larger group of society. Because no, it really is no longer just a small group of single people or the low-skilled.
Furthermore, we also live in a thread-through disposable society that one no longer even makes the effort to recover something. Who the hell is stopping their socks (I honestly don't hear either) or recovers something at all. It's much easier to buy something new. and often not so crazy expensive in proportion. But the quality isn't what it once was either, my grandmother had her TV for 30 years. that is now unthinkable.
The clothing industry is the most tragic example of this. Fashion changes every year and everyone always wants the latest new. to the absurd. Large chains often offer it very cheap, but the quality is often also of the nature that they can't take a second round or that you can't give them with good conscience to stuff help. Are you lucky that you can shop in the more expensive segment of the clothing market, you often still have stuff that will last for several seasons. But, as said. not everyone can do that and those who can do it can also buy something new every season. Stillaan starts recycling the trend and coming up vintage here. but still because of a far too small group I'm afraid.
Furthermore, it would also be a very positive thing for the environment to save on things that we actually took far too much for guarantee, such as water and fossil fuels. We are literally exhausting Mother Earth with our disposable culture, CO2 emissions and wanting it more and more. The boundaries are really in sight, you know. maybe even already reached.
The land of plenty is over. we will have to make a mentality shift and step into saving mode with it all. and maybe also live a little less in the I K-society and a bit more often in a WIJ society. It is not possible that a small group of people are doing well on the hood of an ever-growing group of less fortunate ones.
To end with a positive note anyway. my 11 son recently said 'mom happy there's one thing you never have to save on, my hugs for you'.
