All right, we don't communicate via telepathy.

Because it fascinates me, I follow a lot of documentaries related to UFOs.
In these documentaries, people who had contact with these extraterrestrials say that they do not speak to and through language. But through thought transfer.
At first I thought, that's cool. You should not be able to speak any language. It is enough that you feel or perceive something and that feeling is then simply converted into thought transition, telepathy.

But if you think about it carefully, it is not so desirable. Because then everyone knows what you're thinking right away.
Sometimes we think something about someone they shouldn't hear.
In telepathy, the person would immediately know what you think about them.
Because we speak with language, our thoughts remain free. That's fine.
Your thoughts always stay yours, and if you don't want anyone to know, you don't say them either.

So for me, I'd prefer no telepathy.

On the other hand, beings that transmit telepathically thoughts can never lie either.
They also can't keep any secret from anyone else.

Or could extraterrestrials, if they wish, simply turn off that ability to telepathy if they don't want anyone else to hear their thoughts?

Our thoughts are always free and let it stay that way.
You can take everything from a human being, his freedom, his possessions, but never his thoughts.
They can go and stand wherever they want.
No one, but really no one, has a grasp of that with a person.
