Animal awareness matters
Animals have it straight to live by their nature. Animals are often considered only a 'thing' that is subordinate to human interests. Animals however, like humans are individuals and having awareness and feeling. . Animals have intrinsic value and earn the rights who are due to them.

First, the technical side of the story: when a virus takes over a body, it connects to a cell. To make this happen, the cell must have a specific receptor — a type of attachment point — that the virus can bind to. If the virus and receptor do not merge, the virus can never use the new person it has come into contact as a host.
