Use of mosquito nets
One of the most effective methods to keep mosquitoes out is installing screens on windows and doors. This allows you to still enjoy fresh air in the evening without worrying about mosquitoes flying in.
Mosquito repellent plants
There are various plants that keep mosquitoes at a distance because of their scent. Some examples include citronella, lavender, mint, and basil. Place these plants in pots near your bedroom window or on your nightstand for a natural mosquito repellent.
Essential oils
Essential oils such as eucalyptus, tea tree, and lavender oils are effective in repelling mosquitoes. You can evaporate a few drops of these oils in a diffuser or mix them with water and use them as a spray. Please note that you do not apply these oils directly to your skin without diluting them first.
