Animaniacs (Animania in the dubbing for Latin America and Spain) is a cartoon series created by Tom Ruegger, distributed by Warner Bros. and produced by Amblin Entertainment. The series was first broadcast on Fox Kids on T.G.I.F. between 1993 and 1995, and then by The WB as part of their Kids' WB children's block from 1995 to 1998. In the United States it was later broadcast on Cartoon Network, and on Nickelodeon. It has also been broadcast internationally on various open and paid channels.

Animaniacs was the second series produced by the collaboration of Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. Animation during the revival of animation in the 1990s. The studio's first series, Tiny Toon Adventures, was a hit with younger audiences as well as a large number of adult viewers. This was largely inspired by the classic Termite Terrace cartoons. The writers and animators of the Warner Bros. used the experience they gained from the previous series to create the new characters that were inspired by Tex Avery's creations. In this way, Animaniacs was considered the most watched series of the 90s, especially because of its adult humor, which attracted a large number of audiences of various ages, which makes it very recognized and loved to this day.

Animaniacs' humor was a transfusion of memories with antics, references to the culture of the moment, animated violence and follies. While Animaniacs was on Fox, it rose to fame by name and became the second most popular children's program among children aged 2 to 11, and children aged 6 to 11, beating Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that began that same year.
