The story of the apparition of the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, our beloved Chinita patron and protector of Maracaibo, is famous.
The year of 1749 when a small table appeared on the beaches of Lake Maracaibo, a
humble old lady who washed clothes on its banks, took her to her
house and in his home it was useful as a lid for a jar of
water.
On November 18, the old lady observed how the tablet
was agitating and throwing flashes of light, giving way to the apparition of Our Lady
