Are these farmers going to save our nature?
The Arnhem Market full of tractors, stressed calves and manure: this was how the farmer's protest went. Farmers Defence Force (FDF), among others, took action in Arnhem against government plans to tackle nitrogen problems by reducing the herd.
Scandalous! Very young calves are dragged along during the FDF foreman demonstration.
That's how they love their animals, lock in a container or calves can't have fear.

FDF livestock farmers also came to the WUR campus today. It was driven right through the flower meadows. Are these farmers going to work for nature too?? Police and WUR staff managed to direct most tractors to the central event field. That's where the fries stand was ready. The livestock farmers have come to campus for a “playful action”, namely “dump manure, a symbolic act that they want to increase biodiversity”.
It was driven right through the flower meadows.

Milk is made by cows and not farmers. A mother cow is not a milking machine. You wouldn't say that if you see how it's being milked in the livestock industry. Her newborn calf is taken away from her. Meanwhile, she needs to give more and more milk even when she's pregnant again. Research by Wakker Dier shows that a cow should give much more milk than ten years ago. If she is completely exhausted and gives less milk, she goes to slaughter after about five years. While she can be 25. This can't be.?
Who's taking it for her??
