Arming the World

One day I read an excellent story, today I share it with you

A scientist who lived worried about the problems of the world, was determined to find ways to reduce them. He spent whole days in his lab, looking for answers to his questions. One day, his 7-year-old son invaded that sanctuary with the intention of helping him work. The scientist, nervous about the interruption, tried to get the child to play somewhere else. Seeing that it would be impossible to get him out of there, he tried to distract his attention. He ripped the sheet of a magazine depicting the world, cut it into several pieces with scissors and handed it to the child with a roll of adhesive tape, saying:

— Do you like puzzles? I'm going to give you the world to fix. Here it is, all broken. See if you can fix it right!

He calculated that it would take days for the child to recompose the map. A few hours later, he heard he called him:

“Dad, dad, I did it! I managed to finish everything!

At first, the scientist did not give credit to the words of the child. It was impossible that, at his age, he had recomposed a map I had never seen before. Then he looked up from his annotations, sure he would see a job worthy of a child. To his surprise, the map was complete: all the pieces were in the right place.

“You didn't know what the world is like, son, how did you get it?

“I didn't know what the world is like, but when you ripped the sheet out of the magazine, I saw that on the other hand there was the figure of a man. I tried to fix the world but didn't get it. That's when I turned the cuts around and started fixing the man, who I knew what it was like. When I finished, I turned the sheet and saw that I had fixed the world.
