The wood armored damselfly is a relatively large armored damselfly. The #imago , the adult insect, is up to 4.7 cm. The abdomen is longer and wider than the other armored damselfters. The body is metallic green. In sitting position, armor damselflies keep their wings half-spread, unlike other damselers.
