Art Dots on Bottles
The theme was Art, with a large K, and the class room was completely transformed into a true museum. What did the 3rd grade children learn a lot about art and art styles in the 5 weeks that the theme ran?. And of course they have created real art themselves! For example Real Dot Art, on ordinary glass bottles and jars! Transformed all by yourself, from Waste to Art!
Miss Kelly took some pictures in between just for us! This way you can see how hard the kids have been at work, including. make these artful bottles. (But they've made a lot more art in those 5 weeks!)
Process:
1. Paint the glass bottle in an extra light colour, or in an extra dark colour! Then the contrast is extra large and the dots will jump out better later. This can be painted with placard paint, but acrylic paints can also be done.
2. After drying, make dots with cotton swabs, with cheerful colors. Fun is to discuss Dot Art first and discuss any patterns.
