Ascent to peak el Ávila..

#yoorsjanuary2021 On January 3rd of this year, it celebrated the 221 anniversary of the first ascent to Waraira Repano peak commonly known for peak el Ávila, in the city of Caracas Venezuela.



On January 3, 1800 Alejandro Humboldt began the first ascent to the top of Avila known as Waraira Repano, but did not do it alone, he was accompanied by the French naturalist, doctor and botanist Aimé Bonpland, was his company .

Alejandro Humboldt and Aimé Bonpland were left for history to be the first European scientists to ascend to Avila, also accompanied by a young man from Caracas named Andrés Bello, 19 years old.

Nowadays Avila is a national park visited by foreign tourists and its own, hiking is an important activity in Avila, the many paths serve to travel and exercise as it is a majestic park.

The park is called Waraira Repano, however its usual name is Ávila, at the top is a spectacular hotel named Humboldt.
